I've been spending a lot of time on DA lately, and as a result, I'm watching many more people than I used to. I've been spending an unhealthy amount of time on the "newest" page, and sometimes, I even click the "random deviation" button (<- DO be careful with that button...). I've +watch -ed a lot of people, and I've been thanked for nearly all of these watches. It struck me as odd -- I'm used to getting thanked for one in five, if that -- but it made me realize I never thank my watchers.

It's not because I don't love you -- I do, promise. Someone favoriting a picture or adding me to their watch list makes my day, and probably always will. It's part of the reason I stay here, since pictures are very personal to me and I'd be just as happy keeping them to myself, otherwise. I don't say "thank you" because I don't really want to be thanked. I'm not watching people for watch-backs, or for getting more pageviews, I'm watching them because I like their art and want to see more of it. That's thanks enough, in my book. Besides, I never know what to say, outside a really awkward "You're welcome." I imagine others feel the same way, so I don't say anything. I don't want to make people feel awkward.

But I love you guys; I really do. Thank you for your watches, faves, and comments. You guys are what make this place awesome.
